Scooby comes into the garage every day when I pull in from work. Everyday she waits for me to get out of the car. And then she walks me to the door, where I give her scritches and strokes until she purrs. Then she backs up and lets me roll inside. Every day.

There was a stray I used to feed, Josephine, who would be waiting for me in my  driveway every day when I came home. The only time she wasn’t there, I immediately knew something was wrong. Turned out I had been burgled. I loved that cat as much, if not more, than any of my actual cats.

Almost certainly. However, I don’t think it’s my demise simply because she likes that I bring her a warm car hood to sit on at night. I’m still useful.
